Hej! My name is Tinne Luyten (°Geel, 1972) and I am an illustrator and graphic designer residing in beautiful green Limburg (Belgium). In 1995, I graduated with a master in Product Design in Antwerp. After a traineeship in Seoul (‘96), a junior designer job at OskarD (‘96-’00) and a scholarship in bookbinding in Tokyo (2001) I founded ‘studio tinne luyten’ in 2001.

Over the years I have combined graphic design ánd illustrations in engaging projects in the realm of education, invisible mental/physical disabilities, nature, psychology, travel… . My passion as designer lies in illustrations, books, birds and sheep — självklart (obviously). In 2018 I published a set of postcards, Counting Sheep. My tools are Adobe CC, Procreate and Moleskine booklets. One of my favorite colors is light pinkish cinnamon. Since 2022 on I focus mainly on my artist work as illustrator and booklover.

I am fond of Japanese and Scandinavian culture, the smell of freshly printed books, baking pancakes on Saturday, reading BrainPickings and listening to Onbeing on Sunday mornings. Further more there is the ongoingness of writing a diary (or letters), outdoor swimming, yin yoga, meditation, Swedish class and sipping black coffee with dark chocolate. Lastly, and proudly, I am the mother of three young adult sons.

Please feel free to follow my visual diary on Daily Things To Fall In Love With.

“To write a diary is to make a series of choices about what to omit, what to forget.”
